Supermarket colour splashes for Summer Souk
The sun is finally shining in Belfast so what better time to think about wearables that will add some fun and sunshine to the wardrobe. I have been sweeping the supermarkets and contents of my many collectables to make some fun pieces for The Fashion Souk Markets. These markets are seasonal and based in the lovely period building which is Spires Mall. I am taking part in the two summer markets on Saturday 4th May and Saturday 1st June. They run from 10am- 4pm so plenty of time to come and visit me with a nice coffee! I am excited about meeting the other local designers and upcyclers involved, from what I have seen from other event the Souk have run, there is a very talented group of creatives that take part. Here is a little teaser of some of the goodies I have been preparing...
Looking forward to seeing you there!

One Epic Trip
Where does one begin when trying to recap on the last nine days? First there was a reunion with all the Handshakers at our great little apartment in the heart of Munich, the opening and book launch of our Handshake show, seeing swans waddling in the snow, drinking too much beer in the sunshine in beer gardens, parties in kebab shops, seeing wonderful exhibitions, Suspended in Pink and Otto's retrospective definitely highlights, more partying in old subway stations and having my camera high- jacked by jewellers taking surreal photos in beer halls. And that was just Munich.
In London I walked so much my shoes literally fell apart beneath me! The wonderful Fiona and Rob introduced me to the feasting delights to be had around the city, got completely overwhelmed by the turn out at our 'Perspective' show at Craft Central, saw some wonderful jewellery exhibitions and had great conversations with gallery and hip boutique owners in and around London. I soaked up everything in sight like a sponge, so much inspiration and so much to learn from.
